Manu Viqueira is a Galician animator, creator and multimedia artist based in A Coru\u00f1a. He works as an independent professional (freelance), offering services in directing, creative development, screenwriting, animation, post-production, visual effects and motion graphics for musical, documentary, television and advertising projects. He defines himself as an artist open to mixing styles, techniques and visual languages: photographic collage, 3D animation, live-action footage, motion graphics and visual effects. His creative philosophy plays with the superimposition of layers and a hybrid aesthetic, moving between complexity and minimalism depending on the needs of each project.
In addition to his work as a creator, Manu is an associate lecturer in the Degree in Animation and Video Games at the University of A Coru\u00f1a, where he teaches subjects such as screenwriting and directing animated films, contributing to the training of new generations of Galician animators. He stands out particularly in the field of music videos, having worked for Warner Music L.A. on productions for international artists such as Robert Plant, Green Day and Gary Clark Jr., as well as for well-known artists on the Spanish music scene including Love of Lesbian, La Pegatina, Macaco, Soziedad Alkoh\u00f3lika and La Polla Records.<\/p>\n

He has created animation for numerous documentaries, including No somos nada, directed by Javier Corcuera and selected at the San Sebasti\u00e1n Film Festival 2021; Colecci\u00f3n Mer (2025), by Pedro Gonz\u00e1lez; and The Unknown Battle(2017), by Paula Cons. In the advertising and corporate sphere, he has collaborated with brands and institutions such as Estrella Galicia, Leche Pascual, R, Cinfo, DepGames and the Galician Government, as well as with festivals such as O Marisqui\u00f1o, Hematofesti and the Imaxinaria Festival. He has also produced numerous animated pieces for television, particularly for documentary and educational programmes.<\/p>\n

Manu Viqueira has developed a style that combines the symbolic rebelliousness of punk culture and social commitment with the expressive possibilities of animation and audiovisual creation. This blend of critical content, bold aesthetics and technical versatility makes him one of the most dynamic and versatile voices in contemporary Galician and Spanish animation. In 2026, he is developing the feature film and transmedia fiction series So\u00f1os punkid\u00e9licos, a hybrid of electronic musical animation series and documentary, centred on a therapist who heals by mixing the dreams of his patients.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
