EIria L\u00f3pez is a Galician director of art and animation based in London. After completing her degree in Fine Arts in Pontevedra, she moved to London where she pursued a Master’s in Communication and Design at Central Saint Martins. She was awarded the prestigious scholarship from the “Fundaci\u00f3n Barri\u00e9 de la Maza”, which allowed her to complete a second Master’s degree in Animation Direction at the National Film and Television School, graduating in 2012.\r\n\r\nSince then, she has worked as a director, animator, and designer at various studios such as Picasso Pictures, Blink Ink, Electric Theatre Collective, The Line, Animade, Passion Pictures, and Partizan, among others. In 2013, alongside her colleague Daniela Negrin Ochoa, they began working as co-directors at “Wednesday Collective” and two years later decided to co-found Wednesday Studio, where they have built a successful professional career in contemporary animation for advertising, working regularly with clients like Netflix, Microsoft, Ebay, Airbnb, etc.\r\n\r\nIn 2012, Iria L\u00f3pez stood out as a director with her short film “Jam\u00f3n”, which received numerous awards and recognitions.
