David Fidalgo Omil (Lugo, 1989) is a graduate in Fine Arts and has managed to combine his two passions, cinema and art, becoming a prominent animation director at a national level with a very personal style. With his animated short films, such as “Letters to Superman” (2016), “Homomaquia” (2019) and “SANDWICH CAT” (2022), he has participated in various film festivals around the world such as SXSW, BAFICI, STUTTGART, ANIMA, GIFF, AFI FEST, among others, getting several awards such as the Nomination for the Goya Awards 2020, the Audience Award at SXSW, the Melies D’Argent at the Grossman, the Audience Award at the Malaga Festival, two Mestre Mateo from the Galician Audiovisual Academy, and the Audience Award at Imaxinaria, among others.
